It has been alleged that during that conversation Trump hinted to his Ukrainian counterpart that he could do with some help from him. Specifically, he's alleged to have asked him to produce evidence of wrongdoing by Hunter Biden, the son of the Democrats' frontrunner for the nomination for the 2020 presidential elections. The US president seems genuinely baffled by the reaction of people and the media to what seems to him to have been a "perfect conversation." The president even had his Ukrainian guest declare on camera that "no pressure" was applied to him at any moment.
